screens, printers, and web pages all
conspire to make our lives difficult...
When I print out a web page, why is
the right hand side of the page chopped off?
|
This
is a common glitch, due to different screen resolutions, web browsers, and printers people
have.
The solution is to print the pages in
landscape (wide) rather than portrait (tall) format.
Select File | Print from your menu bar, then in Printer Properties ensure
that landscape is selected, then try printing again.
|
| What are "Frames"? |
Some websites use Frames
on their pages. This means that the page you are viewing is really made up of several
little webpages. Your printer needs to know
whether you want to print just one frame, or the whole
screen you can see - you can choose this from the dialog box that pops up...
|
| Is there a quick way to print? |
Often in Windows
you can press control-P (i.e. hold the Ctrl key down then press P at the
same time), as a shortcut to selecting the File menu then Print, but not always. |
